Cinched at the waist and split delicately along its length to reveal a polished bronze interior and, when illuminated, a ribbon of light, this shapely wall lamp reads as a graceful reinterpretation of the sconce. Designed to add a touch of theatre, it was first created to line the hallway of a private Parisian home.

With a tabletop that rests so lightly upon its two scroll-like bases that it gives the impression of floating, the generous dimensions of this piece exceed the requirements of a coffee table and in so doing, imbue it with a presence that verges on the primal.
